Raymond Garland Blanks Jr. of Potosi, Missouri was born on September 6, 1982 in Washington County, Missouri a son to Raymond G. Blanks Sr. and Helen (McGuire) Blanks. On August 22, 2009, Ray was united in marriage to Mandy Missey at the Stoney Point Baptist Church and they shared Seven years together.
Ray entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of thirty-four years, four months and twenty days.
Ray will be missed by all who knew and loved him including his loving wife Mandy Blanks of Potosi; father and mother: Raymond and Helen Blanks of Potosi; brother Joshua Blanks and wife Heather of Potosi; father in-law and mother-in-law: Irfan and Marie Lambay of Berryman; sister-in-law Anna Missey of Berryman; brother-in-law James Doss and wife Amber nephews: Joshua Blanks Jr. and Evan Missey; niece Abigale Lawson; God Children: James and Elizabeth Kelly; also surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Albert and Dorothy Blanks; maternal grandparents: John and Naomi Florence McGuire; uncle Anthony McGuire; cousin James McGuire; grandma Leona Missey and many other relatives.
Visitation was held at the DeClue Funeral Home Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 5-9 PM and Monday, January 30, 2017 from 9-11 AM.
A Funeral Service was held at the DeClue Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11 AM with Bishop Ron Luellen Sr. officiating. Honoring Ray by serving as pallbearers were Joshua Blanks, Chris Kelly, Jimmy Douthit, Dennis Coleman, Derek Walton, Rusty Missey and Leroy Missey II. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Joshua Blanks Jr. and Evan Missey.
Interment and final prayers were held at the Trinity Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. DeClue Funeral Home was honored to care for the funeral arrangements for Ray during this time of remembrance.
