Evelyn Geneva Warren of Potosi, Missouri was born on February 18, 1930 a daughter to the late Jesse J. Lamkey and the late Lilly F. (Owens) Lamkey. On December 3, 1954 Evelyn was united in marriage to Billy Gene Warren and they shared over fifty-three years together.
Evelyn entered eternal rest peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the St. Joe Manor Nursing Home having reached the age of eighty-six years, five months and sixteen days.
Evelyn will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her caregiver and niece, Sandy Volner and husband Larry of Potosi; sister-in-law, Evelyn Lamkey of Potosi; also surviving are nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her father and mother, Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Warren; five brothers: Clifford “Tip”, Austin, Ralph, Johnny and Sam Lamkey; two sisters: Anna Middleton and Rosie Shivers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 8:30-10 a.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10 a.m. held from the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Interment and final prayers will follow in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. DeClue Funeral Home was privileged to care for the arrangements and services for Evelyn during this time of remembrance.
